We went to see the Album Leaf play this week, and it was friggin' awesome. By far one of the (if not THE) best shows i've been to since we moved to this blackhole of live music so fondly referred to as "hong kong".

I did take photos (none of them outstanding coz i didn't wanna use flash and it was dark.... very dark and i was pretty far away from said leaf.) However, my card reader seems to be on strike, so these pics will have to wait til i head to work and purchase a new little (and hopefully improved....maybe pink.....) cardreader.

So yeah, apologies for a shitty post.... check out Ross' blog, he's had much more going on recently than i have!

So, been busy and haven't much time to blog.... but i woke up super early to get to the shop early to get todays designs done (i was tattooing til 1am last night so wasn't in the best "design mood" by the time i got home.) So anyways, i found a quick 5 mins to post about our new guest artist.... Jill Trilling!

She'll be starting at the end of this month, i think (off the top of my head) around the 21st... Here's some examples of her work...

it's like a zoo up in here!

ok haven't had much work-wise to blog....but feel like i should at least blog something. so yesterday was an animal filled day of tattooing. (i always find it weird how stuff gets booked in in themes, like one day i'll just do script.....and one day i just do flowers, and one day....animals. i don't even think i do it subconsciously..... i think it's just..... weird.)

so 1st up is a fun little piece i squeezed in for a girl just visiting who was super keen, and it's for a good reason, so i couldn't say no!



was hard to get a good pics of either piece, right on the shoulder blade, but these'll do...



2nd up is kevin's second shark tattoo. his 1st one healed up really well, softened up perfectly.....and although i don't do a lot of stuff like this, change is good. This one was more difficult than his 1st, as we had no concrete refrence, just bits and bobs from various photos, but we managed.

Anyways, today was my day off, and it was nice just to veg out. it's been 3 months solid that we've had house guests..... first it was michelle, then pieman, then andy, then joe! it's been awesome having them, but it takes it's toll on your flat! so got a bit of cleaning done too.

Back at work tomorrow (oh, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROSS!) it's 2:30am so it counts.....and then we are closed til sunday for easter, so it'll be real nice to have 2 days off in a row!

anyways, here's the new business card design.... wont see these for a while though coz i just found a massive stack of old

Pretty little place

So yesterday we decided to take the day off work and head off to Macau (where Joe was flying back to Singapore from). Got up crazy early, but it was good coz we had a lot of time to spend wandering about.

I have insane amounts of pics, so i'm pretty sure i'll be posting them for days to come.... but here's a few for now to tide y'all over...













Been really busy at work, and i'm even having to work Ross' Birthday on thurs, but fri we are OFF and there'll be a night of drunken hooliganism i'm sure. Good times....

payback's a bitch

So i got a bloody no show, which means i have time to blog.

Figured i'd post my new tattoo....my god did i suffer. to be honest, after the lines i was ready to tap out, but i knew joe really wanted to finish it....so i stuck with it. all in all it was about 6 and a half hours, but i did take about 6 smoke breaks, so tattoo time was a few less i'd imagine.



thank god for lollypops and madball.... thats all i can say!

it's funny... i say "when he comes back" coz he was supposed to be on a flight this morning to singapore. well....that didnt happen. last night got a bit messy and he figured going all the way to the airport was.... well.... too much like hard work. so we got him for 2 extra days!

In other news, we did a little more work on Sams flamin' heart chestpiece, but no really worth blogging about, and i got to do this cut and paste Mike Giant skull. (he had an image of the top of the skull from a painting on a lady, so i used some other mike giant skulls to work the lower jaw into it). Came out pretty sweet (although it was so so so tempting to shade it.......) and it was fun doing super chunky lines. Might get to do another Giant piece on his other leg if all goes well.....



Ross is singing with Sushi Robot tonight at Grappa's.... so gonna head down there in a minute. Maybe see some of y'all there!
